What is the age requirement to attend your training schools?

Where are your schools located?
High Velocity Equipment Training is located in Camrose, Alberta, 50 minutes Southeast of Edmonton, Alberta. Your Equipment Training and Advanced Training will be conducted on HVET's training site. Included in our Advanced Training, is the opportunity to experience situations and problems that you may encounter while equipment operating on site. Learning how to get through these problems, with the help and guidence of an instructor will allow you to feel confident and safe in your work enviornment.

What kind of wages can a heavy equipment operator make?
Wages will vary between companies, locations, and industries. According to Statistics Canada an experienced operator earns an average wage of $65,000. (For more information check out our testimonials page) With High Velocity’s industry specific heavy equipment operator training, job placement is easier and you are more likely to find a position that suits your skills and vocational interests. Potential wages for an experienced heavy equipment operator averages $25.00 to $30.00 an hour. Careers in the heavy equipment industry are in high demand, and the opportunities are endless.

Do you need a high school diploma or a GED to attend?
No, you do not need a high school diploma or a GED to attend any of our heavy equipment operator training programs. There is a reading and writing component so basic literacy is expected.
