High Velocity Equipment Training Multi-Equipment Program
Our 12 week course covers Basic Heavy Equipment Safety Training and Basic to Advanced Operational Techniques. Student intakes are approximately every four weeks on a rolling intake. Class & field time is scheduled in 7 hour shifts (including time for required Simulator training) between the hours of 8:00am and 11:00pm, five days a week, with weekends off. This schedule gives students the opportunity to practice night training similar to their careers in heavy equipment. Additional simulator training time not included with regular classes is encouraged to build hand/eye coordination and is available to students outside of regular class hours at no extra charge.
12 Week Government Certified Heavy Equipment Training
| Block 1 ( weeks 1-4 ) includes: |

- Basics of effective operation of heavy machinery are covered through classroom theory and equipment field time. Introduction and orientation of various Heavy Equipment Machinery, Simulator Training, Safety Certifications, Basic Maintenance, Basic Mechanical, in-depth Machinery Safety and assessment of student skill levels.
- The most common and typically required Alberta employer Safety Certifications are incorporated in the first Block of the 12 week program, such as H2S Alive, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, First Aid, Ground Disturbance, and WHMIS.

| Block 2 ( weeks 5-8 ) includes: |

- Introduction and practice of Advanced Techniques of real-life exercises designed for application in the road-building, construction, oil and gas and mining industries.
- Training Modules offered on Operating Techniques with Backhoe Loader, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer and multiple sizes of Crawler Excavator and Crawler Dozer utilizing class room theory and field time.

| Block 3 ( weeks 9-12 ) includes: |

- Practical Application of the Advanced Techniques learned in Block 2 focusing on mastering industry specific tasks such as sloping, cutting grade, rigging, slinging plus many more.
- Students have the opportunity for equal field time on each piece of equipment which includes Backhoe Loader, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer and multiple sizes of Crawler Excavator and Crawler Dozer.

Credit hours are based on successful completion and mastery of tasks. All graduating students must demonstrate skill-level of Block 3 training tasks to receive their certificate.
