The most that I got out of the course is how understanding and helpful everyone is. The abilities and skills that I found I had surprised me! Instructors were great out at the pit, you can ask them anything and they never tell you it is a stupid question, they just explained it to me and showed until I got it. The classmates were great and made it better to be there. The job board was helpful and having someone take the time to show me how to get a company's attention on paper was very useful. HVET was definitely a great choice!

I really enjoyed operating equipment and loved learning on each
piece and the various techniques and ways to operate in a more
efficient and safe way. I also enjoyed the classroom time. There are so many things that I learned, not only in the pit but also in class and from the staff as a whole. The atmosphere of the school was much like being in a family. Thank you, I have a better understanding of equipment and its safe operation.

My time at HVET was well spent. The instructors were very thorough and the curriculum is designed to teach people like me, who have no experience with heavy equipment, to operate with safety and confidence. I have gained a lot of hands on experience at the pit by completing the exercises. There are even tasks, such as digging a basement that I am confident enough doing that I feel I would need little supervision to complete. I enjoyed the company, the entire staff is motivational and helpful. The embloyability program is so beneficial and I feel eager to get into this career. I feel that I have been well prepared to begin operating equipment the best that I can!

I learned a lot! There were so many different techniques to learn that it was a little overwhelming at first. The instructors were so knowledgable, patient and well mannered. They were great about making sure that I mastered every new technique before moving on to the next one. They made sure that I had extra time in the pieces of equipment that were more challenging for me.
